How to Enter

1. Register as a Filmmaker. Entries are open to invited filmmakers 15 years and under. There are two categories are open to entrants: 

a) 9 years old and under; and 

b) 10-15 years old.

2. If you are filming people, make sure you have their permission. 

3. Films should be in 16x format at a minimum definition of of 1080p. 

4. Upload your original film by the deadline: 6pm 1 July 2023 AEST. 

5. Films will be premiered on Saturday 8 July at the McNamara Martens HQ backyard cinema. The Golden Snowflake will be awarded to the most creative film with the best storytelling overall.

6. By registering as an entrant you agree to have fun! This should be filled with laughter. It might tricky at times, but if you get stuck we're here to help. Registering requires the use of an email - so ask Mum and Dad's permission before you enter. 

Want some help editing your film? 30 minute editing sessions are available with Lisa in June. 

Once you have your raw video ready for editing, we will:

• talk for 15-30 minutes to understand what you want for your film

• select scenes and music 

• and Lisa can help stitch it all together
